These terms form the contract between you and the seller. By placing an order you accept them.

What is being sold

A personalised children's book. A book contains between 10 and 32 pages — one for each topic you pick out of the 32 available. Two things are sold, each under a separate contract:

The book — digital content: a print-ready PDF file together with the generated illustrations. You receive the file and may print it yourself.

A printed copy — goods: a printed softcover 20×20 cm book made to your order and delivered by post. It can only be ordered for a book that is already finished, in any number of copies and at any time after it is ready.

Price and payment

The book costs €2.99, whatever the page count. A printed copy costs €23.99 per copy, including printing and delivery. Prices include VAT where applicable.

Payment is handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's side; the seller neither receives nor stores them.

How an order works

• You fill in the child's details, pick the topics and upload a photograph.
• We draw a free portrait of your child in the chosen style and show it to you before any payment.
• If you are happy with it, you pay for the book; no sign-up is needed — you give your email address at checkout.
• After payment the remaining pages are drawn automatically and a link to the finished book is sent to that email address. Signing in with it saves the book to your account.
• If you want the book in your hands, you order and pay for a printed copy on the finished book page, entering the delivery address. The order goes to print straight after payment, exactly as the book looks at that moment.

Delivery of the printed copy

Delivery is available to European Union countries (except Denmark) and to the United States. The book is printed in the same country or region it is delivered to, so there are no customs duties. The cost of delivery is already included in the price.

Printing is carried out by Gelato AS (Norway). The estimated time for printing and delivery is 《 срок изготовления и доставки, например 7–14 рабочих дней 》. The status of the printed copy is shown on the book page.

If a parcel cannot be delivered because the address was entered incorrectly, sending it again is charged separately. If the book does not arrive for any other reason, write to us — we will take it up with the carrier and send the book again if needed.

Right of withdrawal, and losing it

Under EU law a consumer has 14 days to withdraw from a contract without giving a reason. For digital content this right is lost once performance has begun with your express prior consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose it.

By paying for the book you expressly request that we begin making it immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the book has been built.

The printed copy is made from your individual details — with your child's name and likeness — and is therefore goods made to the consumer's specifications, to which the right of withdrawal does not apply (Art. 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU). That is why print is only ordered after you have seen the whole finished book.

Until you pay you are committed to nothing: the free portrait places you under no obligation.

If something goes wrong

The illustrations are produced by a generative model, and an individual page may not come out well. A page that failed can be redrawn.

If a book was not produced after payment through our fault, write to 《 контактный e-mail 》 — we will either rebuild it or refund you.

The printed copy is covered by the legal guarantee of conformity. If the book arrives with a printing defect or damaged, send us a photo — we will print and send it again free of charge, or refund you if that is not possible.

How closely the illustration resembles the child depends on the quality of the photograph and cannot be guaranteed to portrait accuracy. That is precisely why your child's portrait is shown before payment — so that you decide having already seen the result.

Rights in the photograph and in the book

By uploading a photograph you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child shown, or are otherwise entitled to use that image.

The finished book is for your personal, non-commercial use: print it as many times as you like, for yourself or as a gift. Resale and commercial distribution are not permitted.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights and the legal guarantee on the printed copy. Otherwise the seller's liability is limited to the amount paid for the book.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the seller's country of registration, while you keep the protection afforded by the mandatory law of your country of residence. Send complaints to 《 контактный e-mail 》.
