A book about getting a haircut, where your child is the main character
A haircut is frightening not because of the scissors but because nothing about it is familiar: a stranger, an odd chair, a cape. The book walks that route in advance, calmly, before the child is actually in the chair.

How this page reads in the book
A big chair, a colourful cape, and a friendly hairdresser with scissors. It tickles a little at first, but Mia sits still and watches in the mirror. Snip, snip — and there is a brand new haircut in the mirror!
This is the real page text — "Mia" is replaced by your child's name.
